After seeing this place advertised several times, I finally decided to give it a try since I love tsukemen぀け麺. This was the first time I’ve had tsukemen with so many toppings, including pork, bamboo shoots, and seaweed. The dipping broth was flavorful, although it was just a little salty for my taste (I usually prefer lighter flavors). Adding the white pepper provided on the table made the noodles even better. The other bowl of ramen was also generously topped, and the bonito-based broth was smooth and well-balanced without being too salty. The karaageε”ζšγ’was delicious as well! The restaurant was clean and well maintained, and most of the customers during our visit were Japanese, which made the experience feel quite authentic. I’ll definitely come back to try some of their other dishes.

1. The broth of the ramen is light, and I like the cuts of the pork Chashu! 2. The spot has chill casual vibes! The interior has high ceilings! 3. The staff was friendly and timely with my order! Everything came out after 10 mins! Note: There is a restroom available for customers! Photo: Black Chicken Paitan and Bamboo Shoots with Chashu Pork

We waited in line for the half-price chicken ramen. The black broth was decent, but the spicy broth had a slightly gamey taste. The portion size was quite small, so at $16, it didn’t feel like a good value.

We used to go to the Yorba Linda location, so after seeing they moved to Fountain Valley, we drove down to try it. They do not offer the tsukemen anymore, which is a real bummerβ€”hopefully it comes back, since we enjoyed that dish a lot. The service was fantastic as always, and the location itself is very clean and beautiful, but the food was just okay. We tried the spicy chicken paitan, curry rice, and chuka soba instead. The broth for the chuka soba was lacking a bit of richness. The toppings were generous. The chuka soba and chicken paitan use the same kind of thin rounder noodles; it's not that chewy, but thick enough where you taste it, so it's a little depressing. We did get the spicy karaage, which did have quite good crunchy texture and flavor, so that was a plus. Might visit one more time sometime to try the mazemen (or see if the tsukemen returns, which they mentioned was a possibility after their grand opening), but I wouldn't go out of my way for the main dishes we tried.

First of all, same decor and dishes as La Shrimp that was here before. Service - horrible.. serving 1 table at a time and kept us waiting for a long time. Food.. was okay. They use Chinese noodles for Mazeman.. and overly oil.. Chicken was tough, fish cake has no flavor. First/Last time
